Privacy Policy

Clipbin collects nothing, transmits nothing, and has no servers. This page is short because there is very little to say.

Clipbin contains no networking code. It cannot send your clipboard, or anything else, anywhere — there is no account, no sync, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party SDK in the app.

What Clipbin stores, and where

Everything Clipbin keeps stays on your Mac, inside the app's own sandbox container:

Deleting Clipbin removes all of it.

What Clipbin deliberately does not record

Clipbin honours the nspasteboard.org convention. When a password manager marks a copy as concealed, Clipbin skips it before anything is written to memory or to disk. That behaviour is on by default. You can turn it off in Settings if you need to, and nothing else about the app changes when you do.

Spotlight

Clipbin can optionally add your Vault items to the macOS Spotlight index, so ⌘Space finds a saved snippet. This is off unless you turn it on, it never includes the clipboard history, and the index is a local macOS system index — it is not sent anywhere.

Children

Clipbin is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Since it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date above. The source that backs every claim here is public at github.com/labs-conceptmates/clipbin — you can verify the absence of networking code yourself.

Questions about this policy, or about Clipbin generally, can be raised as an issue at github.com/labs-conceptmates/clipbin/issues.
